This is an excellent opportunity for a Speech Pathologist with Team Leader experience to join a supportive team for a 6 - 12 month period. The role will involve working in the community, line management and strategic planning for Western Pilbara. The role is a temporary contract for 6 - 12 months although there could be opportunity for extension for the right candidate.
You will be responsible for the development, planning and evaluation of the speech pathology services in the Pilbara region including providing an advanced level of care for a broad range of inpatient, outpatient and community clients involving assessment, intervention and management of an Adult and Paediatric caseload. Your management duties will cover supervision for the Level P-1 speech pathologists, allied health assistants and administrative support staff with line management responsibilities; managing the pathologist services for the west Pilbara region including developing services, promoting services and the profession within WACHS Pilbara and the community; and maintaining timely and accurate record of statistics, preparation of departmental monthly reports, annual reports and business plan and participating in strategically planning.
The successful applicant for this position will hold a Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology and eligible for full membership Speech Pathology Australia (SPA). Extensive knowledge and experience in current speech pathology practices with Team Leader/Management experience. A current Police check is an essential requirement for this position.
