WA Health Department are offering fantastic opportunities for two Graduate Speech Pathologists to join a supportive team and be responsible for providing and maintaining an effective and comprehensive Speech Pathology service to clients within Wheatbelt Health Servic e. One of these positions is permanent and the other a fixed term contract of 1 year however there could be chance for extension.

Your main areas of responsibility will be to provide Speech Pathology services for clients and their families in the community as well as inpatients that are consistent with the clinical pathway for that diagnostic group. You will be using your skills assessing, diagnosing and managing a mixed caseload of clinical clients presenting with communication and swallowing disorders. You will also have opportunity to be involved with planning, implementing and supporting health promotion and education to clients, families and communities in the district.

Continuing professional development is encouraged and supported with adequate mentoring and supervision. A Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology and in date Police check will be an essential requirement for this position and the position is available to both experienced Speech Pathologists and newer graduates who are looking for their first step on the career ladder and great development opportunities.

The role is based in Wheatbelt, in the heart of the picturesque Avon Valley only 1 hour from the metropolitan area. The Avon Valley offers the best of both worlds, a relaxing rural lifestyle whilst being within a short distance to the metropolitan area.
