An incredibly exciting opportunity has arisen for an Allied Health professional with Counselling experience to join a supportive and dynamic team.
As a Youth Counsellor you will provide education, community development and counselling services to young Aboriginal people 14-25, families, carers and service providers. The successful applicant will also be responsible for raising awareness of mental health issues and prevent the development of serious mental health illnesses and reduce the risk of self harm.
The location of the post is in Midwest in a bustling tropical town; the hub of the Gascoyne region. Known for its world class locally grown produce, such as bananas & mangos; it also boasts a reputation of a great fishing, sparkling beaches, brilliant display of wild flowers and spectacular ocean.
Successful applicants will have a Graduate degree with at least two years Post Qualified experience in their studied profession including Counselling of young people and eligibility of registration with a Professional Body. Police check and Working with Children check will be essential for this role.
