This highly sought after gold mining company is now looking for a Mine Planning Engineer to join their underground mining team at one of their W.A. operations. Working with a competent technical team and an experienced and supportive management function, you will thrive in this autonomous planning role.

This opportunity exists for an underground Mine Planning Engineer to join this established team and report directly to the Technical Services Manager. Throughout this role your main responsibilities will include preparation of the life of mine plan and budget, continually sourcing necessary data from the mine site operating departments to assist in short, medium and long term planning and forecasting, Further on you will be involved in completing conceptual studies on new ore bodies, monitoring the engineering systems and business processes, identifying and prioritising improvement opportunities and formulate alternatives and improvements to systems and methods.

To be considered for this role you will need to hold a tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering, have significant experience in underground mine planning and LOM and experience in sourcing and developing input to same. As the Mine Planning Engineer on site you will be exposed to making strategic decisions, use the latest technology and build on your current knowledge in complex mining methods.
